Through its various activities IPDO was able to arrest many human rights abuses, promoted peace and reconciliation and raised a popular level of human rights and democracy awareness throughout the country. The organization is the torchbearer of the emerging civic society situation, which is the foundation for the construction of the Somali nation, won local and international respect for its human rights works.
