On 26 June 2025, the Iniskoy for Peace and Development Organization (IPDO) proudly joined the global community to mark the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture. As a Somali NGO working closely with survivors, IPDO provides legal aid, psychosocial support, and medical care to victims across Somalia. Through our partnership with OHCHR, we continue to advocate for the rights and dignity of those affected.
This day reminds us of the urgent need to end torture everywhere. IPDO supports the work of the UN anti-torture mechanisms, including the UN Convention Against Torture (CAT), and calls for justice and healing for survivors. Together, we raise our voices to say NO to torture and YES to dignity, accountability, and support for survivors.
