On 27 January 2026, IPDO staff successfully implemented a water supply intervention by delivering clean and safe water to one of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in Baidoa city.
his initiative was carried out in response to the severe water shortage affecting Baidoa, with the greatest impact felt by vulnerable and marginalized communities living on the outskirts of the city. The intervention aimed to reduce the hardships caused by water scarcity and to support families facing extremely challenging living conditions.
Through this lifesaving assistance, IPDO continues its commitment to improving access to clean, safe, and reliable water for communities in need.
IPDO also calls upon the people of South West State and International/LocalNGOs to demonstrate solidarity by supporting one another and assisting their brothers and sisters affected by water shortages, ensuring that everyone has access to clean and safe drinking water.
