On 15 January 2026, Iniskoy for Peace and Development Organization (IPDO) conducted a Community Advocacy Forum and Public Debate on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Baidoa, Southwest State. The event brought together community leaders, women, youth, and civil society actors to discuss GBV prevention, survivor protection, and the role of communities in promoting accountability and social change.
The forum created a safe space for open dialogue, raising awareness on the impacts of GBV and encouraging collective action to end violence against women and girls.
This activity was implemented with the support of the SIHA Network under the Komboa Project, reinforcing efforts to strengthen community-led advocacy and gender equality initiatives in Southwest State.
