Baidoa, South West State of Somalia — 20 September 2026: Members representing the South West State Civil Society Network held a constructive meeting with the District Commissioner of Baidoa and Mayor of Baidoa City, H.E. Ibrahim Mohamed Nur Kalay.
Iniskoy for Peace and Development Organization (IPDO) was among the civil society organizations that participated in the meeting, which focused on strengthening collaboration between the Baidoa District Administration and Civil Society Organizations.
The meeting provided an opportunity for participants to discuss ways to enhance cooperation, improve the delivery of essential social services, and promote meaningful community participation in local development initiatives.
Participants highlighted the importance of continued dialogue and constructive partnership between local authorities and civil society organizations in identifying community priorities, strengthening service delivery, and ensuring that community voices are reflected in local development efforts.
IPDO remains committed to supporting inclusive engagement among communities, civil society, and local authorities, while contributing to peacebuilding, community development, and meaningful community participation in South West State.
