18 July 2026, Iniskoy for Peace and Development Organization (IPDO) participated in the Community Consultation Forum organized by the Ministry of Interior, Local Government and Reconciliation (MOILGR) of the South West State of Somalia. The forum convened government institutions, civil society organizations, community representatives, women, youth, and development partners to discuss strategies for strengthening inclusive governance and community-driven development.
Held under the theme “Amplifying Community Voices for Inclusive Development, Trust and Local Ownership,” the forum provided an important platform for dialogue on enhancing citizen participation in decision-making processes, promoting transparency, building trust between communities and public institutions, and fostering local ownership of development initiatives.
Throughout the discussions, participants shared experiences and recommendations on improving collaboration among stakeholders to ensure that development interventions are responsive to community priorities and contribute to sustainable peace and resilience.
IPDO values such collaborative platforms that empower communities to actively engage in shaping their future. The organization remains committed to supporting inclusive governance, meaningful civic participation, and partnerships that promote sustainable development and social cohesion across South West State of Somalia.
